Last night our School Board voted unanimously to open our four elementary schools on Monday, October 12. For Middle School and High School, we continue with remote instruction for now and hope for a return to in-person instruction on October 26. The School Board also voted to affirm our fall Athletics Health and Safety Plan, which allows for UHS student-athletes to participate in an interscholastic season. Patton fall sports teams will continue with the inter-squad program at this time.

The UCF Flu Clinic will take place on Thursday, October 1 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Unionville High School. Registration is required this year to help ensure social distancing is enforced. Navigating remote learning and the feelings that come with it may be difficult for some of our younger learners. The UCF Elementary Behavioral Health Team has created a Virtual Calming Room for elementary students to explore.
The updated Unionville-Chadds Ford Continuity of Education Plan is to be implemented during the remote learning period from September 8 until October 8, 2020.

The UHS Tech Ed department came together, while at home, to do their part to support healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the guidance of Mr. Mike Berkiehiser, Mr. Steve Ortega and Mr. Neil Linkmeyer, UHS students made protective face shields for local medical professionals to use during this stressful time.

UCFSD was well-represented at the FIRST-Mid Atlantic Pennsylvania-Southeast Region Championships with the following teams: Robostars and the Silver Wolves (Patton) and SkyShaper (Patton and Chadds Ford). The Silver Wolves won the First Place Champions Award and Third Place Robot Performance Award and will be competing at the World Festival in Detroit later this year.
