Welcome to Pocopson Elementary School. Established in 2002, our 100,000 square foot, state-of-the-art school sits atop our beautiful 34 acre campus overlooking the historic Brandywine River.

Pocopson Elementary is a vibrant learning community. Our dedicated staff embodies our district mission statement: “To empower each student to succeed in life and contribute to society”. Our high quality curriculum resources, coupled with our teachers’ tireless efforts to provide instruction that meets the strengths and needs of each individual learner provides the foundation for the positive school experiences our kids enjoy every day.

Our school community is strengthened by the meaningful and positive partnership that has been forged between home and school. Parents are tremendously supportive and involved, and our PESPTO provides unforgettable opportunities for children and enriching support for our classrooms. Of course, our parents also entrust us with eager and enthusiastic learners who embrace and take pride in their school. It is truly their energy, curiosity, kindness, and excitement that defines our “Patriot Pride” and what makes our school a great place to learn for all of us.
